Accessibility Education
This accessibility cheat sheet demonstrates my willingness to learn new concepts, since before beginning this project I knew almost nothing about accessibility principles and had to learn much in a short amount of time.
Being open to learning and implementing new ideas is a skill that I have obtained through my academic experience. It’s an important skill to bring to the workplace, as it shows that I am open to new concepts and always seeking to improve my skills.
Individual Website
For this website project, I was required to create a website by myself. This website exhibits my self-management skills. Without help, I learned how to build a website and write content that targeted a specific audience.
The ability to self-manage is a key skill to bring to any job, since it means that I can do a job, even a job that I’m unfamiliar with, without someone needing to constantly assist or check up on me.

For this project I had to figure out what I needed to do for a future project and how I was going to do it, so it's a good demonstration of my planning and organizing skills. I needed to develop timelines and evaluate variables such as risk management and quality management. To make these decisions I had to understand the tasks, analyze each task and draw conclusions as to what needed to be done.
These skills are valuable in the workplace, since employees need to be able to assess and solve problems and make logical decisions.
Proposal
This is a mock proposal designed for a proposal writing course. It demonstrates my ability to communicate well and be persuasive. These were skills that I learned during this assignment in order to make a convincing proposal.
Communication is a necessary skill in the field of writing. Writers must be able to communicate through their written content and, depending on who they are working for, they must communicate with their clients, co-workers, and employers.
Creative Storytelling Portfolio
This is a portfolio I was required to make for a Creative Storytelling class. It demonstrates my ability to persevere in a limited time frame and create content.
Working on a strict deadline is a skill that all professional writers need to have. Writers must be able to persevere, even though they may be stumped for ideas, so that deadlines are met and the quality of the content delivered meets expectations.
