For this project I was responsible for taking my instructors advice and making edits to the content as she suggested. I was required to create a portfolio that included a 1,200 word article, an edited article from a previous project that I had to bring up to 2,000 words and an edited video also from an earlier project.
Needless to say, being a writer is extremely difficult when the ideas have run out on a particular subject. This project was made even more difficult because I had to meet a deadline, which was the end of the course. In order to do this, I had to re-interview my first subject, Nicole Weiler, to get more information. Even though it was a difficult task to hear her story, I was able to bring my word count up and meet the expectations of the assignment.

I believe that my ability to persevere was what helped me to get this assignment done and would be an asset to any company that deals with hard deadlines.
Aside from that, perseverance is a skill that is required to lead a successful life in general. Through the many challenges and difficulties I faced going through the Professional Writing and Communications course at Georgian, I discovered that I can continue on through just about anything. This is a personal discovery I am truly proud of.
